Before we arrive

  • Put a bucket under the drip and move furniture out from under the stain
  • Photograph the water stain and note the time it appears, since a leak that only shows in driving rain narrows the search
  • Clear vehicles from the driveway so the ladder can be set safely
  • Clear the loft hatch if the leak is traceable from inside
