Plumbing reviews (4)

Averaging 5.0 out of 5 across this trade.

  • 5 out of 5

Tankless unit installed with a new gas line and proper venting. They pulled the permit, scheduled the inspection and met the inspector themselves. The invoice showed the permit fee separately at cost, which is exactly what they said would happen.

  • 5 out of 5

Kitchen line backing up for the third time in a year. Instead of just clearing it again they put a camera down and showed me the root intrusion in the clay lateral, then quoted the actual fix. First plumber to explain why it kept coming back.

No hot water on a Saturday morning. Sean diagnosed a failed gas control valve, told me the part cost and the age of the tank, and let me decide between repairing it and replacing it without a sales pitch either way. Repaired, and still fine.

A slab leak we had been chasing for months. They found it acoustically within two hours, opened one small area of flooring rather than three, and rerouted the line. The repair cost less than the two exploratory quotes I had from elsewhere.

About these reviews

Where these come from

Every review on this page was left by a customer we invoiced. We do not filter them by rating, we do not remove one because it stings, and the average you see on this site is calculated from this file rather than typed in by hand.

Why the low ones are still here

Three of these are not five stars, and each of the three names something we got wrong: an equipment lead time we did not pass on, dust containment we should have specified from the start, and an insurance claim where we did not explain our own limits clearly enough at the first visit. All three are answered in public, by name, by the person responsible for fixing it.

A wall of five star reviews tells you nothing except that somebody curated the wall. What is useful is seeing what happens when a job goes sideways, because that is the part you cannot predict when you choose a contractor.
